Understanding Antisemitism For DEI Professionals, Corporations, & Instituions
DEI efforts inside organizations represent an important and necessary shift in the way we build all institutions. However, understanding the Jewish community and antisemitism is frequently being excluded from this work. There are understandable reasons for this. However, there are also reasons built upon problematic stereotypes of Jews, a misunderstanding of who and what we are, and a lack of understanding about what antisemitism is and how it works. This workshop is designed to help address those problems and equip DEI professionals and the organizations they lead to create a truly inclusive environment that push back on the world's oldest hate.
Supporting Jewish Employees, Students, Members
Jewish members of any institution deserve the support resources necessary for them to feel included inside of all spaces. Unfortunately, most institutions lack the internal competencies to provide that support directly in consideration of anti-Jewish bigotry. Consequently, we provide ongoing support services to Jewish employees, members, and students to help them navigate these issues and, when necessary, advocate for themselves.
Ongoing Support For DEI Professionals
DEI professionals have an incredibly difficult job. Not only must they help change hearts and minds in the pursuit of creating genuinely inclusive, safe, and equitable spaces, but they're also expected to be navigate incredibly complex communal dynamics each day. This is even more difficult when reacting to unfolding events if you're not a subject matter expert on a given community. That's why we offer ongoing learning opportunities and advisory engagement to support DEI professionals when they need it most.
How to Have Effective, Productive Discussions About Israel And Antisemitism
When it comes to the concerns of the Jewish community, perhaps the most difficult challenges facing DEI professionals are tensions surrounding the conflict between Israel and Palestine. In particular, how do you tell the difference between rhetoric that is harsh but legitimate criticisms of the actions of a government from that which crosses the line into anti-Jewish bigotry? In the spirit of helping DEI professionals navigate this challenge, we offer a safe space to explore these complex questions and a workshop to help professionals navigate this challenge in a way that creates space for genuine inclusion and safety.
